Fatherhood changes.
At first you just try to cope,
But it gets better.

Expected nothing,
And have been rewarded with
Most wonderful joy.

Today was a first.
Used your potty like big girl

Seems like there isn't
Enough time to breathe some days,
And then you smile.

Nothing else matters,
When you look me in the eyes,
And say "I love you".

When we go for walks,
You show me what I should know;
There is no hurry.

It was a long day.
I guess that happens a lot.
I shouldn't complain.

You have learned how to
Repeat everything we say.
I should watch my mouth.

Now, you say each time,
When you need a diaper change!

I see more of me in you,
Every single day.

I love that you ask.

Ask for everything.

You love strawberries.
Wish they weren't so messy when
You smash and squeeze them.

A long time has past
since my last Mila Haiku
Hard to find the time.

You have grown so much
You are such a big girl
So independent.

I love to teach you
you learn everything so fast
It's kind of scary.
